Angiography procedures is one of the diagnostic imaging procedures for studying blood vessels in the arteries and veins. This angiography examination is performed by injecting a viscous liquid called contrast media into the blood vessels to clearly identify the blocked blood vessels. This procedure involves the exposure of X-Ray in certain blood vessels and is performed by the Interventionist Radiologist. There are several types of angiography examinations which include cerebral angiography, coronary angiography, pulmonary angiography, peripheral angiography and renal angiography.
