A case of a large dentigerous cyst associated with canine tooth in the maxillary antrum is presented. This case is of interest because of its extensiveness and the presence of an ectopic tooth in the roof of the maxillary sinus. Theoretical aspects of canine impaction and cyst formation are reviewed. The management of a jaw cyst, in particular, the still popular Caldwell-Luc procedure is discussed.

Parapharyngealspace tumor has been known to be uncommon. It accounts only about 0.5% of head and neck neoplasm. Most of the lesions are benign in nature and salivary gland neoplasm being the most common.A 32-year old Ma lay gentle man presented with long-standing parapharyngeal mass which m ialized the latera l pharyngeal wa ll. Biopsy was taken intraorally by soft pa late mucosal incisionrevealed carcino ma e x-p leo morphic adeno maand t ranscervical approach successfully re moved the mass in total. Post-operative radiotherapy was commenced and patient is we ll until recent fo llo w up.Despite of the rarity of pleomorphic adenoma in parapharyngeal space, it should be a mong the differential diagnosis and a complete removal should be the aim as ma lignant transformation is possible in this type of pathology. Computed tomographyscan e xtending fro m base of skull till upper thora x a re important in p lanning the approach for complete removal of the mass followed by radiotherapy in malignant transformation cases.

Eagle's syndrome represents a symptomatic styloid process elongation or calcification of stylohyoid or stylomandibular ligament. The symptoms include the throat pain radiating to ipsilateral ear or foreign body sensation in the pharynx causing odynophagia and dysphagia. It is commonly unilateral and bilateral cases are rare. We report a case of bilateral elongation of styloid processes treated surgically by transoral approach.

Indium antimonide nanowires were synthesized by electrochemical deposition using anodic aluminum oxide template in the presence of gold film as conductive layers. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry measurements were carried out to investigate the effect of adhesive insulated tape covered below the conductive layer. Results showed that the anodic aluminum oxide template covered with insulating tapes had better morphology with less presence of overgrown rough film on the topside of the anodic aluminum oxide template and it exhibited a smoother nanowire sidewall as compared to the uncovered ones. Additionally, the unique properties of anodic aluminum oxide were controllable pore diameter with a narrow size distribution at some intervals. It was evident from the energy dispersive X-ray spectrum that the nanowires synthesized from the covered template condition exhibited better InSb composition and stoichiometric ratio compared to the uncovered template condition.
