Scheduling is one other method in productivity improvement. Scheduling occurs at the
operation level of production planning and control system. Scheduling is important because it can
optimize resource allocation and minimize waste. Simulation analysis can be used to evaluate the
scheduling technique in order to determine the best alternatives. A case study company, Olilys Sdn.
Bhd. Did are facing with the unsystematic scheduling methods for the job orders received from
customers. The problem became worst during peak period (high demand) where the company unable
to fulfil the customer orders. The objective of this project is to study the existing scheduling technique
and find related problem, and propose an improvement in production scheduling system. In this project,
there are five scheduling techniques proposed, which are First Come First Serve (FCFS), Shortest
Processing Time (SPT), Longest Processing Time (LPT), Priority Rules by product sequences: By Part1
and By Part 2, and Earliest Due Date (EDD). The simulation modelling and experimentation being
done by using WITNESS simulation software. Through the experimentation analysis, the best
scheduling technique was selected and suggested to the company

The construction industry is one of the major sectors in Malaysia. Apart from providing
facilities, services and goods it also offers employment opportunities to local and
foreign workers. In fact, the construction workers are exposed to high risk of noises
being generated from various sources including excavators, bulldozers, concrete mixer
and piling machines. Previous studies indicated that the piling and concrete work were
recorded as the main source that contributed to the highest level of noise among
others. Therefore, the aim of this study is to obtain the level of noise exposure during
piling process and to determine the awareness of workers against noise pollution at
the construction site. Initially, the reading of noise level was obtained at construction
site by using a digital sound level meter (SLM) and noise exposure to the workers was
mapped. Readings were taken from four different distances; 5, 10, 15 and 20 meters
from the piling machine. Furthermore, a set of questionnaire was also distributed to
assess the knowledge of regarding noise pollution at the construction site. The result
showed that the mean noise level at 5 meters distance was more than 90 dB, which
exceeded the recommended level. Although the level of awareness of regarding the
effect of noise pollution is satisfactory but majority of workers (90%) still did not wear
ear muffs during working periods. Therefore, the safety module guidelines related to
noise pollution controls should be implemented to provide a safe working environment
and prevent initial occupational hearing loss.

The academic performance of Malaysian students has recently been in the spotlight
when it was revealed that our high schoolers had performed dismally in recent major
international benchmarking studies. Malaysian students were not only ranked below
the global average, but they also appear to be performing worse in Mathematics,
Science and Reading Literacy compared the previous assessments. This has raised
alarm among not only educational policy makers and academicians, but also other
stakeholders who are directly or indirectly affected by the success or failure of the
educational system. This study aims at empirically analysing the academic
performance of students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
Program at Kolej MARA Banting (KMB) over a span of 23 years. It attempts to identify
whether there is a similar declining trend as reported by PISA and TIMSS, and identify
factors that accounted for the students’ performance. Students’ IB results from 1993
to 2016 sourced from KMB database were analysed for trend and the strength of the
relationship of subjects that contributed to the total points of the IB examination for
two main programs offered at the college. Finally, future performance for the next
three years was forecasted using time series analysis using ARIMA (1,0,0). The Mann
Kendall Test confirmed existence of a downward trend in the students’ results.
Correlational analyses found that high level subjects comprising of the High Level
Chemistry, High Level Physics, High Level Biology and High Level Mathematics are
highly correlated to IB examination results. This is accentuated further after a policy
change in 2009 when the program for pre-Medical students opted for Standard Level
Mathematics, instead of High Level Mathematics it used to offer. It is anticipated that
the findings of this study will provide the relevant authorities with invaluable
information with a view of instituting corrective measures.

Palm oil-based wax is a waste material from palm oil refining process. Recent prototyping
activities have used industrial blue wax or synthetic wax to produce prototype parts by machining
processes. The new palm oil-based wax blended with LLDPE reduces the use of synthetic wax for
engineering applications. This paper studies the machining characteristic of two different composite
    blends: LLDPE/PALMAC 95 -16 Palm Oil-Based Wax and LLDPE/PALMAC 98-18 Palm Oil-Based
Wax. Three machining characteristic results were recorded, namely; surface roughness, temperature
    and dimensional consistency.

Optimum design of HEN can cause significant reduction in the total cost of the plant.
Targeting method using pinch analysis diagrams was presented to find out investment cost required
and the period of return of the investment of optimization of the refinery system. This method can be
done by knowing the amount of ΔTmin and by pointing the composite curve of saving vs investment (S-I
curve). The targeting method is the modification of the system that need to be done to avoid movement
of heat exchangers in order to minimize the return of the investment. This method can assist refineries
management to make decision in order to optimize the refinery system.Result shows that refinery can
reduce the temperature on the main tower until 9.65MW and the investment will be $360,000 with the
time of the return cost being 7.7 months

This paper examines the concept of reform in terms of religious, political and social
aspects in PB Shelley’s literary works. Selections from Shelley’s poetry, prose, essay
and drama are reconsidered to show the concept of reform in his works. This paper
seeks to unravel Shelley’s skeptic revolutionary thoughts that were always
misunderstood by the critics of his time. Shelley as a poet perpetuated his life as a
reformer, yet his concept of reform was neglected and often downplayed because of
his idealistic view of the world. However, the significance of Shelley's concept of reform
merits, more reverence, or, at least, more critical consideration than any of the Great
    Romantics.

A study on 2D geo-electrical resistivity imaging at Melaka Tengah, Malacca was conducted to determine the potential groundwater zone. This investigation is needed to identify the quality of the groundwater, since the site is located in the coastal areas where groundwater influence tends to diminish due to intrusion of seawater. Two resistivity lines were proposed with length of 400m each by using Terrameter SAS 4000 and ES1064. Geo-electrical of electrical resistivity and induced polarization method with the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration were carried out. The Res2Dinv software would then render the 2D resistivity image through inversion method which provided detailed information of both the laterally and vertically geological structures based on their part. The electrical resistivity measured the resistance of the subsurface to the flow of electric current in units of ohmmeters and value of chargeability during the transient decay of the applied voltage in ms for induced polarization. Well data provided was very useful in direct determination of subsurface soil lithology. The result obtained showed an 84.7-meter subsurface depth for both areas which then reflected that the subsurface consisted of two different layers namely overburden (laterite, clay, and/or peat soil) with ranged 1 ohm.m – 10 ohm.m and 50 ohm.m – 500 ohm.m for schist formation. However, this area was considered to be brackish water area because of the low chargeability value of 0ms – 1ms especially in top soil layer and 5ms – 20ms for schist formation. Thus, this area was deemed not suitable for groundwater exploration due to the intrusion of salt water.

Adolescents need more attention on eating habits as they go through a critical path
period of physical, physiological and psychological changes from children to adult.
Therefore, planning a proper healthy diet menu is important to adolescents to have
the sufficient nutrients for proper growth. However, manually plan healthy diet menu
is complicated, inefficient and time-consuming. The purpose of this study is to develop
a mathematical model of healthy diet menu plan that minimizes the daily fat intake
and meets the necessary nutrient intake for adolescents aged 13 between 17 years old
within the budget provided by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) for Malaysia adolescent
in MARA Junior Science College (MJSC) boarding schools. Optimization approach and
binary integer programming method were used to address the diet problem in this
study. The finding of the study indicates that the developed mathematical model of
healthy diet menu plan for MJSC can generate menu plan that minimizes the total fat
intake at minimum level of requirement per day. This menu plan can be used as a
guideline for the management of the boarding schools to provide healthy diet meals

This paper reviews the conceptualization and relationship among work-family conflict,
burnout, social support and turnover intention using Job Demand Resources (JD-R) model. From the
theoretical framework of JD-R model, there is a relationship between job demand and resources that
gives impact to organization outcome. In addition, empirical evidence also shows that a relationship
exists between the above variables. Organization should address proactively how job demand and
resources influence each other that lead to organization outcome. Comprehensive understanding
regarding the above matter gives opportunity for organizations to take reasonable action to ensure
employees well-being and give benefit to the organizations themselves.

An increasing number of women participate in the work force due to socio-economic development result a big impact to work and family institution. Failure to meet demand for both work and family lead to work-family conflict that may give negative consequences on work and family. An example of major work-related outcome is burnout which can lead to turnover intention. Social support has been identified as an important resources that can reduce work-family conflict and burnout. This paper aims to identify the relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention and also the mediation effect of burnout on work-family conflict and turnover intention relationship. It is proposed that there will be a positive relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention and there is an indirect relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention through the mediation effect of burnout. Social support from work and family is proposed to moderate the relationship between work-family conflict and burnout. Furthermore it is proposed that the strength of relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention depends on the mediation effect of burnout and moderating effect of social support.

The hydrodynamic characteristics of new design for artificial reef with low flow
drag to provide suitable shelter for fishes and marine organisms in the Malaysian seas, were
studied in this paper. The concept used in the design is based on the streamlined bicycle helmet
design concept. The flow characteristics and the wave forces (FW) of the helmet and hollow
cube artificial reefs (ARs) of the same volume have been studied at a water depth and wave
celerties of Malaysia seas using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) RANSE (ReynoldsAveraged
Navier-Stokes Eqs.) code Ansys Fluent. The Shear Stress Transport (SST) turbulence
model was used in the RANSE code. The streamlined body of the helmet artificial reef provides
flow zones with moderate flow speed at this area, which can help fishes and marine organisms
to find good shelter. The special shape of the different openings in the body of the helmet
artificial reef improves the condition of the flow velocity distribution inside the unit than that
of the hollow cube unit, which can increase the amount of the nutrient to the living fishes and
    organisms inside the reef.

Cryptographic algorithm has become one of the most important aspects in hardware
implementation of embedded security system design. Message Digest (MD) is one of the cryptographic
algorithms that can be used in any security design application. Nowadays, designing the high speed,
low power, and small area implementation of cryptographic algorithms on reconfigurable hardware is
one of the critical subjects for hardware application. The purpose of this paper had been to analyse the
structure of MD5 hash function for high performance implementation in order to obtain small area
implementation, as well as to increase the speed of the design on FPGA. In this paper, the frequency
maximum for MD5 design with both grey and binary signal encoding is discussed. The results retrieved
from the analysis showed that the differing results were caused by the switching bit of the signal input.
Besides, the frequency maximum of MD5 that employed binary signal encoding provided the highest
frequency maximum with smaller area implementation. By using grey signal encoding, the frequency
maximum was almost similar to the MD5 binary signal encoding, but it suffered larger area
implementation. On top of that, this research focused on timing and area implementation of the design,

Climate change is undeniably the greatest issue facing our society. Around the globe,
increasingly unpredictable weather patterns and extreme weather events are
observed, causing considerable risks to human lives, properties and health safety and
also on the natural ecosystem. The magnitude and impacts of climate change are
growing, and particularly in Malaysia, studies show increases in temperature and
changes in rainfall regimes. Such changes have profound implications, especially for
coastal communities. Since knowledge and perceptions of the public on climate change
could affect the success of implemented adaptation and mitigation options, it is
essential to conduct assessments to gather such information. A public awareness and
perception study was conducted at Sabak and Tanjung Karang, two coastal
communities which were affected by changes in sea level and flooding incidences. The
knowledge level and perceptions of climate change among respondents were assessed
covering areas such as level of awareness of the respondents, their perceptions of
climate change issues, their sentiments on climate change and adaptation measures,
their socio-economic activity and the effect on their lives. Results show that majority
of respondents were aware of climate change issues and challenges. High levels of
concern about climate change were expressed with the majority were worried and
uncertain about the climate change impact and hoped for government measures.
Almost half of respondents cited significant damage to their properties and reduction
in income generation. Overall, the results of the present study gave insights of the
affected parties on perceptions and awareness pertaining to climate change, which
could potentially be used to promote greater awareness of climate change matters and
to gauge the public response to related policies and strategies.

Dengue fever is an endemic disease in many tropical and subtropical regions. In
Malaysia, it is the leading public health challenge despite the extensive intervention
programs by the related authorities. Distribution of dengue cases in Malaysia varies
according to states and districts where cases are more distinct in urban and suburban
areas. Preparedness strategies of dengue cases could be more successful with some
comprehensive and technical analysis on disease incidences. Hence, the present study
analyses dengue cases using mathematical modelling in the state of Penang, one of the
more urbanised state. In particular, two time series models are fitted to the dengue
data from the region in order to identify the mathematical model that best describe
the data. Results show that both proposed models are able to represent the cases
rather well; however numerical inspection revealed that Double Exponential
Smoothing method is the better choice. Subsequently, the identified model is used to
make forecasting on the number of expected cases. Results show that dengue cases in
Penang are expected to increase gradually.

One of the prime inspirations for this work emerge from the need to deal with our
common assets (the Land). To build up a formal approach that can be utilized to
address the issues emerges from a mind boggling circumstance in land
administration. The capacity to track the progressions as it is connected to land
everywhere throughout the year. A considerable lot of the land exchanges are as yet
in light of 2D ideal models that have frustrated fast advancement in thickly urban

Be that as it may, the dynamic idea of the land has an imperative part in the
advancement of the land administration framework. One of the significant reason the
expansion in intricacy in land utilize required that Land Administration Domain Model
(LADM) concept in land administration has an enhanced limit is to deal with the
current 2D and 3D. The need to talk about time dimension emerges from the way
