Employees' Workplace Deviant Behavior (WDB) is an organizational threat to its sustainability. This study examines the impact of the supervisors' role in improving organizational behavior because of the gap in the body of knowledge indicating the inconsistency, paucity, and uncertainties of relationships between variables when relating to their underpinning theories. The conceptualized model consists of the impact of family supportive supervisor behavior (FSSB) on workers' workplace deviant behavior (WDB) while considering Affective Commitment and Work-Family Supportive Behavior Attribution between the key variables. In terms of methodology, this quantitative study analyzed 321 valid surveys through descriptive and inferential statistics to ascertain if FSSB negatively impacts employees' WDB. As findings and novelty of this study, FSSB is found to negatively affect employees' WDB, while affective commitment mediates between FSSB and employees' WDB. Work-family supportive behavior attribution and personal life attribution of employees moderated the negative relationship between affective commitment and WDB, while work productivity attribution of employees had no significant effect as a moderator. With three (out of four) hypotheses supported by empirical evidence, this research has broadened previous studies of workers' WDB and offers organizations theoretical and practical recommendations for managing employees' WDB. More studies could be conducted in the future to address limitations in this research, examine other related theories in a new context, location, and/or culture, or select other suitable research methods.

Universities across China have set up crisis management teams (CMTS) to deal with the crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study focuses on how the paternalistic leadership practices of a Chinese university CMT influence crisis strategic decisions by managing conflict. These relationships were verified using hierarchical regression analysis on 312 samples from the surveyed university during the pandemic and found the following: benevolent leadership and moral leadership have positive effects on decision quality. However, unlike most studies on paternalistic leadership, in crisis situations, the negative effects of authoritarian leadership disappear under the mediating effect of affective conflict. This means that affective conflict within CMT fully mediates the relationship between authoritarian leadership and decision quality, and partially mediates the relationship between moral leadership and decision quality, while cognitive conflict partially mediates the relationship between benevolent leadership and crisis decision quality. It indicates that a CMT must stimulate and maintain a certain level of cognitive conflict while suppressing affective conflict to achieve high-quality crisis decision-making. This state can be achieved by practicing lower levels of authoritarian leadership and maintaining high levels of moral and benevolent leadership practices.

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is increasingly used in design education, yet evidence remains limited on whether its educational value derives from tool access itself or from how human-AI interaction is structured within project work. This quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test study compared a 4-week GenAI-Integrated Project-Based Learning Module (GIPLM) with traditional project-based learning (PjBL) in an undergraduate product design course (N = 60). Rather than treating GenAI as a stand-alone content-generation tool, GIPLM embedded GenAI as process scaffolding across four stages: product and requirement analysis, user research and knowledge structuring, ideation with multimodal visualization and 3D prototyping, and feedback, validation, and reflective presentation. Learning outcomes were assessed across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor-related domains, together with course performance. According to a mixed-design ANOVA, the GenAI-supported group was associated with significantly greater gains than the control group in cognitive understanding, problem-solving and creativity, fundamental tool operation, advanced design application, and final academic performance. Because advanced design application differed at baseline, ANCOVA was additionally conducted; the post-test group effect remained significant after controlling for pre-test scores, F (1, 57) = 20.519, p < 0.001, partial η2 = 0.265. Engagement and participation and ethical and user-centered responsibility improved over time but showed no significant Time × Group interactions. These findings suggest that the observed advantages are more consistent with structured, workflow-embedded GenAI scaffolding than with AI access alone, with stronger short-term effects on cognitive, procedural, and performance outcomes than on affective development.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, music graduates have faced increasing challenges in the job market, with insufficient work readiness identified as one of the key influencing factors. However, empirical research on the antecedents of work readiness among music students in the Chinese context remains limited. This study aims to explore the effects of career self-efficacy, career adaptability, and self-perceived employability on the work readiness of Chinese undergraduate music students.

METHODS: Using a cross-sectional survey design, stratified convenience sampling was conducted across eight universities in China. A total of 427 questionnaires were collected, with 414 valid responses retained after excluding invalid ones. To investigate the relationship between various psychological variables and work readiness, as well as their relative explanatory power, this study employed descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to examine predictive relationships and the relative contributions of variables.

RESULTS: The findings revealed that all three variables were significantly associated with work readiness and explained a substantial proportion of its variance, with self-perceived employability showing the strongest predictive effect.

CONCLUSION: At the curricular level, this study proposes that integrating career planning modules and mock interviews into the curriculum can enhance music students' awareness of their employability. Furthermore, the study emphasises that universities should align their curriculum design more closely with market demands, thereby improving students' self-perceived employability and facilitating their smooth transition into the labour market. These findings contribute to informing music curriculum design and career guidance practices for music students in China.

Behavioral intention is central to investment-related decision making, but belief-based predictors and motivational need satisfaction should not be conflated. This quantitative cross-sectional study examined 512 undergraduate students in Jiangxi Province, China, drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Multiple regression tested attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control as predictors of intention to apply investment strategies; descriptive statistics and correlations separately characterised autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The TPB model explained 55.2% of the variance in intention. All three TPB predictors were statistically significant, with perceived behavioral control having the largest unstandardized coefficient (B = 0.36, p
