This paper examines the concept of reform in terms of religious, political and social
aspects in PB Shelley’s literary works. Selections from Shelley’s poetry, prose, essay
and drama are reconsidered to show the concept of reform in his works. This paper
seeks to unravel Shelley’s skeptic revolutionary thoughts that were always
misunderstood by the critics of his time. Shelley as a poet perpetuated his life as a
reformer, yet his concept of reform was neglected and often downplayed because of
his idealistic view of the world. However, the significance of Shelley's concept of reform
merits, more reverence, or, at least, more critical consideration than any of the Great
    Romantics.

Vacuum membrane distillation (VMD) has attracted increasing interest for various applications besides seawater desalination. Experimental testing of membrane technologies such as VMD on a pilot or large scale can be laborious and costly. Machine learning techniques can be a valuable tool for predicting membrane performance on such scales. In this work, a novel hybrid model was developed based on incorporating a spotted hyena optimizer (SHO) with support vector machine (SVR) to predict the flux pressure in VMD. The SVR-SHO hybrid model was validated with experimental data and benchmarked against other machine learning tools such as artificial neural networks (ANNs), classical SVR, and multiple linear regression (MLR). The results show that the SVR-SHO predicted flux pressure with high accuracy with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.94. However, other models showed a lower prediction accuracy than SVR-SHO with R-values ranging from 0.801 to 0.902. Global sensitivity analysis was applied to interpret the obtained result, revealing that feed temperature was the most influential operating parameter on flux, with a relative importance score of 52.71 compared to 17.69, 17.16, and 14.44 for feed flowrate, vacuum pressure intensity, and feed concentration, respectively.

BACKGROUND: SLC29A3-related disorder spectrum encompasses rare autosomal recessive conditions characterized by multisystem involvement, including immunodeficiency, lymphoproliferation, cutaneous findings, endocrine dysfunction, and growth failure. The clinical presentation is highly heterogeneous, often leading to delayed diagnosis, particularly in adults.

CASE PRESENTATION: A 33-year-old Palestinian woman born to consanguineous parents presented with a lifelong history of recurrent severe respiratory infections, growth failure (short stature and microcephaly), recurrent nephrolithiasis, chronic vomiting, generalized hirsutism, and bilateral hallux valgus. Laboratory evaluation revealed marked hypogammaglobulinemia (IgG <320 mg/dL, IgA <25 mg/dL, IgM <25 mg/dL), microcytic anemia, and severe vitamin D deficiency. Imaging confirmed chronic pulmonary small-airway changes and a chronically small right kidney with recurrent stones. Whole-exome sequencing identified a homozygous pathogenic SLC29A3 variant (c.1309G>A; p.Gly437Arg), establishing a diagnosis within the SLC29A3-related disorder spectrum. This case is unique due to its adult presentation, the exceptional severity of the humoral immunodeficiency, and the associated renal manifestations, which are infrequently reported in this spectrum.

CONCLUSION: This report underscores the importance of considering SLC29A3-related disorder spectrum in adults with multisystem disease. Recognition of this spectrum enables targeted multidisciplinary care, including immunoglobulin replacement therapy and anticipatory surveillance for endocrine and renal complications.
