MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 400 respondents were recruited, from all over the province in Indonesia. Instruments utilized were structured questionnaires including a demographic questionnaire, work performance scale (WPS), daily work stress scale. The design used was cross-sectional with a nonprobability sampling method and the data analysis with Chi-Square. The respondents were 400 respondents.
RESULTS: Shows that both respondents who had high, moderate, and low-stress levels on work from home (p>0.001), work from office (p>0.001), and Hybrid (p>0.001). Respondents also had good work performance with all varied work methods.
CONCLUSIONS: Based on this research, each worker has more varied work stress, even though they still carry out their jobs well, and have good performance.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This research design is crosssectional. The number of samples in this study was 132 diabetes mellitus patients. Chi-square test and binary logistic regression were used to examine the factors associated with functional balance in diabates mellitus patients.
RESULTS: Factors associated with functional balance in diabetes mellitus patients were age.
CONCLUSION: This study highlights that age, gender and degree of neuropathy are significant factors associated with functional balance in diabetes mellitus patients. Nurses must enhance health education about prevention and risk factors that affect functional balance in diabetes mellitus patients.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This type of research used an analytic observational approach with a cross-sectional design. The research variables were the child development and stunting. The sample were 130 respondents. Data were analysed with chi-square test.
RESULTS: The results showed that stunted children were 5.525 times more at risk of getting "deviated/doubtful" development screening results than normal children (OR= 5.525; 95% CI= 2.488-12.268; p-value <0.001).
CONCLUSION: It can be concluded that there were developmental differences between stunted children and normal children.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This Study used a pre-experimental design method with a One-Group Pre-Post test design approach. We recruited 60 breastfeeding mothers in Padang, Indonesia, selected with consecutive sampling. Online Education Based On Family Centered Maternity Care was provided for the respondent. Data were collected using the Breastfeeding Self efficacy Scale ShortForm (BSE-SF) and The Breastfeeding Knowledge (BKQ) Questionnaires.
RESULTS: The respondents had significant differences in selfefficacy and knowledge before and after the health education Based On Family Centered Maternity Care (p<0.001).
CONCLUSION: After Education Package Based On Family Centered Maternity Care influenced the Self Efficacy And Knowledge of Breastfeeding Mothers. It could be provided as a nursing intervention to assist Breastfeeding Mothers.
METHOD AND MATERIALS: The electronic search was carried out using PubMed/MEDLINEⓇdatabases with the keywords "tissue engineering AND meniscus" spanning the period of publications from Jan 1980 until Dec 2022.
RESULTS: The literature search identified 405 references in PubMed/MEDLINE, and 179 were selected following the eligibility requirements. The research analysis showed that the existing meniscal tissue engineering studies used a wide variety of seed cells, cytokines, bioactive materials and 3D structures. Each showed distinct advantages and disadvantages in terms of biocompatibility, degradability, mechanical strength, porosity, and etc. It was noted that 3D printing technology is promising for tissue engineering meniscus research. In addition, the optimal use of compression and hydrostatic pressure to markedly improve the functional properties of tissue-engineering meniscal can serve as an useful strategy.
CONCLUSION: This review analysed the different approaches employed for meniscus tissue engineering and regeneration. Meniscal tissue engineering still faces several major challenges in terms of seed cells, choice of materials and 3D printing strategies, which should be effectively overcome to harness the full potential of this technology.
METHODS: A scoping review was conducted to find the eligible studies and perform a comprehensive data analysis.
RESULTS: Based on the findings, cost-effectiveness analysis, economic loss assessment, modeling, or mapping, as well as behavioral economic analysis were used as the economic evaluation approaches/methods.
CONCLUSIONS: Applying economic evaluation approaches to illustrate the economic costs of disasters is highly recommended. Managing competing priorities and optimizing resources allocations to the most cost-effective interventions can be achieved by cost-effectiveness analysis. The results of economic loss assessment can be used as the basis of disaster preparedness and response planning. Economic modeling can be applied to compare different interventions and anticipate socio-economic effects of disasters. A behavioral economic approach can be effective for decision-making in the field of disaster health management. Further research is needed to identify the advantages and limitations of each economic evaluation method/approach in the field of health in disasters. Such research can preferably be designed as the systematic review and meta-analysis.
METHODS: The behavioral and neurophysiological effects of MFA were investigated in mice with and without FMZ pre-treatment. The elevated zero maze (EZM) and marble burying tests were used to assess anxiety-like behaviors and burying activities, respectively. The standard bar test was used to evaluate catalepsy, while the actophotometer test was used to measure locomotor activity. Seizure intensity was scored, and fatalities were counted.
RESULTS: Without FMZ pre-treatment, MFA induced behavioral and neurophysiological effects in a dose-dependent manner as follows: At a dose of 20 mg/kg, i.p, MFA-treated mice exhibited anxiety-like behaviors, which was determined by a significant increase in the time spent in the closed areas and a significant decrease in the number of entries to the open areas of the EZM apparatus. These mice also showed a significant decrease in the burying activity, manifested as a significant decrease in the number of buried marbles. At 40 mg/kg, i.p., MFA-treated mice showed catalepsy that was associated with a significant decrease in locomotor activity. At a dose of 80 mg/kg, i.p., mice developed fatal tonic-clonic seizures (seizure score = 4). Pre-treatment with FMZ (5 mg/kg, i.p.) significantly reversed the anxiety-like behaviors and restored marble-burying activity. Additionally, FMZ prevented catalepsy, significantly restored locomotor activity, reduced seizure intensity (seizure score = 0.3) and significantly reduced mortalities.
CONCLUSIONS: The present study's findings indicate that activation of the GABAAR is involved in the CNS toxicity of MFA, and FMZ reverses MFA toxicity by interfering with this receptor.
OBJECTIVE: Herein, we perform a dynamic and longitudinal bibliometric analysis to explore the hotspots and current trends of HMGB1-related PD publications during the past decade.
METHODS: All PD publications focusing on HMGB1 protein were retrieved from the PubMed database using the search terms "Parkinson's disease" and "hmgb1". Using filters, only English articles published between 2011 and 2022 were selected. The Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny packages from R software were used to conduct the bibliometric analysis.
RESULTS: The filtered search identified 47 articles (34 original articles and 13 review articles), published between 2011 and 2022. There was an increase trend in the number of articles published, with an annual growth rate of 19.35 percent. In terms of research and scientific collaboration in this field, the United States is in the lead, followed by China, Malaysia, and Australia. Compared to other countries, the United States and China had the highest level of collaboration in this research area. Neuroinflammation, microglia, and receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) represent the top three frontiers and hotspots for HMGB1-related PD research. According to the thematic evolution analysis, over the last decade, PD, HMGB1 and microglia were addressed individually, however, since 2017, these topics were frequently discussed within the same cluster: neuroinflammation. Furthermore, PD, HMGB1, and neuroinflammation domains co-occurred in majority of the research discussion.
CONCLUSIONS: The link between HMGB1 and PD was realized a decade ago and becomes increasingly important over time. Our findings can aid scholars in comprehending the global context of HMGB1/PD relationship and provide significant insights for future PD research.
CASE PRESENTATION: An 8-year-old and an 11-year-old were admitted separately to the hospital with fever for 7 and 14 days, respectively. In the younger child, a generalized rash preceded the fever. Both had been well, with no significant past medical history prior to the onset of the illness. In both girls, abdominal ultrasonography showed multiple small hypoechoic lesions suggestive of abscesses scattered throughout the spleen. Their C-reactive protein and blood cultures were negative, and symptoms persisted despite intravenous antibiotics. Fulfilling the clinical and immunologic criteria for diagnosis, both were ultimately diagnosed with childhood-onset SLE. Rapid recovery of symptoms and complete resolution of the abscesses ensued with corticosteroids and immunosuppressive therapy.
CONCLUSIONS: These two cases suggest that aseptic splenic abscesses may occur in childhood-onset SLE. Autoimmune conditions such as SLE should be included in the differential diagnosis of children with occult splenic abscesses.
PARTICIPANTS AND METHODS: Online questionnaire regarding supplement consumption, and Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale 21 (DASS-21) was distributed from March to June 2021 and obtained 1006 valid and completed questionnaires. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted to determine the frequency and predictor factors of the respondents' supplement consumption behavior and mental health status.
RESULTS: Respondents were divided into two groups, vulnerable and non-vulnerable individuals. The finding showed that 34.5% respondents were vulnerable individuals, including the elderly and those with comorbid disease(s). The vulnerable and non-vulnerable groups exhibited a high prevalence of supplement consumption, with the vulnerable group demonstrating a greater tendency for regular use. The incidence of mental health problems in both groups did not significantly differ (23-38%), where anxiety was higher than depression and stress. Supplement consumption was associated with mental health status. Several positive predicting factors for supplement consumption behavior included older age, higher economic status, and higher education. While the younger age and unmarried respondents were more likely to develop mental health problems.
CONCLUSION: Taken together, given dietary supplement consumption increased during the pandemic and the potential associations between supplement consumption and mental health, controlling the correct information and regulation regarding supplements, especially their risks and benefits, was important. Additionally, support for mental health issues was necessary, since it might affect self-medication behavior.
