    Prostate cancer (PCa) remains both a global health burden and a scientific challenge. We present a review of the molecular targets driving current drug discovery to fight this disease. Moreover, the preventable nature of most PCa cases represents an opportunity for phytochemicals as chemopreventive when adequately integrated into nutritional interventions. With a renovated interest in natural remedies as a commodity and their essential role in cancer drug discovery, Malaysia is looking towards capitalizing on its mega biodiversity, which includes the oldest rainforest in the world and an estimated 1200 medicinal plants. We here explore whether the list of top Malay plants prioritized by the Malaysian government may fulfill the potential of becoming newer, sustainable sources of prostate cancer chemotherapy. These include Andrographis paniculate, Centella asiatica, Clinacanthus nutans, Eurycoma longifolia, Ficus deltoidea, Hibiscus sabdariffa, Marantodes pumilum (syn. Labisia pumila), Morinda citrifolia, Orthosiphon aristatus, and Phyllanthus niruri. Our review highlights the importance of resistance factors such as Smac/DIABLO in cancer progression, the role of the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis in cancer metastasis, and the regulation of PCa cells by some promising terpenes (andrographolide, Asiatic acid, rosmarinic acid), flavonoids (isovitexin, gossypin, sinensetin), and alkylresorcinols (labisiaquinones) among others.

    Caregivers providing care for their family members with oral cancer usually endure the caregiving burden in silence, which affects their quality of life and necessitates the need for supportive care. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the quality of life (QOL) of oral cancer caregivers and their supportive care needs (SCN) in Malaysia. The Malaysian versions of the Caregiver Oncology Quality of Life Questionnaire (M-CarGOQoL) and the Comprehensive Needs Assessment Tool for Cancer Caregivers (M-CNAT-C) were self-administered by 56 family caregivers of oral cancer patients from five tertiary hospitals throughout Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak between October and December 2021. Correlation and multiple regression analyses were employed, and the significance level was set at p < 0.05. The mean score for the QOL of caregivers was 76.16 ± 16.01, with the lowest scores in the psychological well-being (64.87 ± 30.12) and self-esteem (68.64 ± 28.29) domains. The mean score for SCN of caregivers was 36.42 ± 24.16, with the highest scores in the healthcare staff (58.44 ± 33.80) and information (55.35 ± 29.98) domains. The correlation between QOL and SCN was moderately inversed, (r(54) = 0.58, p < 0.01). There was a significant effect of caregiving duration (<3 h/day versus >3 h/day) on the combined dependent variables (QOL and SCN), F(2, 53) = 5.006, p < 0.01, partial η2 = 0.16. QOL and caregiving duration accounted for a significant 43% of SCN, R2 = 0.43, adjusted R2 = 0.41, F(2, 53) = 20.32, p < 0.01. In conclusion, oral cancer caregivers with poorer QOL have higher SCN. It is recommended that oral cancer caregivers be recognized by healthcare providers in order to deliver holistic patient care.

    Natural polymers have received a great deal of interest for their potential use in the encapsulation and transportation of pharmaceuticals and other bioactive compounds for disease treatment. In this perspective, the drug delivery systems (DDS) constructed by representative natural polymers from animals (gelatin and hyaluronic acid), plants (pectin and starch), and microbes (Xanthan gum and Dextran) are provided. In order to enhance the efficiency of polymers in DDS by delivering the medicine to the right location, reducing the medication's adverse effects on neighboring organs or tissues, and controlling the medication's release to stop the cycle of over- and under-dosing, the incorporation of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with the polymers has engaged the most consideration due to their rare characteristics, such as easy separation, superparamagnetism, and high surface area. This review is designed to report the recent progress of natural polymeric Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles in drug delivery applications, based on different polymers' origins.

    BACKGROUND: Sporotrichosis is a subacute or chronic mycosis caused by a dimorphic fungus of the genus Sporothrix. Zoonotic-transmitted sporotrichosis has become a major public health concern and is characterised by a different clinical pattern from the traditional epidemiology of sporotrichosis.

    CASE PRESENTATION: We present the details of four patients with mucosal sporotrichosis with regional lymphadenopathy (three cases of granulomatous conjunctivitis and one case of nasal sporotrichosis). The patients' age range was between 23 to 46 years old and their gender was three female and one male patient. All four patients shared the same ethnicity, Malay, and they had a common history of owning domestic cats as pets. Sporothrix schenckii were isolated from all the culture samples and its antifungal susceptibility patterns were compared in the mycelial and yeast phases. All four patients recovered with oral itraconazole treatment, but the treatment duration was variable among patients.

    CONCLUSIONS: People who have a history of contact with domestic cats should be aware of the possibility of sporotrichosis infection. It can present in cutaneous, lymphocutaneous, disseminated, or systemic forms. Early treatment and the prevention of disease progression are more beneficial to patients. The published data concludes that antifungal treatment is highly efficacious, although the reported treatment duration is variable.

    The current study was undertaken to investigate the radiological and dosimetric parameters of natural product-based composite (SPI/NaOH/IA-PAE/ Rhizophora spp .) phantoms. The radiological properties of the phantoms were measured at different gamma energies from Compton scatter of photons through angles of 0, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 degrees. Ionization chamber (IC) and Gafchromic EBT3 film dosimeters were employed to evaluate the dosimetric characteristics for photons (6-10 MV) and electrons (6-15 MeV). Radiological property results of the composite phantoms were consistent with good quality compared to those of solid water phantoms and theoretical values of water. Photon beam quality index of the SPI15 phantom with p-values of 0.071 and 0.073 exhibited insignificant changes. In addition, good agreement was found between PDD curves measured with IC and Gafchromic EBT3 film for both photons and electrons. The computed therapeutic and half-value depth ranges matched within the limits and are similar to those of water and solid water phantoms. Therefore, the radiological and dosimetric parameters of the studied composite phantom permit its use in the selection of convenient tissue- and water-equivalent phantom material for medical applications.

    BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Constipation is one of the most common functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in older adults. To date, no systematic review or previous meta-analysis has estimated the global prevalence of constipation in older adults. The prevalence of this disorder has been reported differently in different studies; therefore, this study aims to systematically review the publications and to perform a meta-analysis of the prevalence of constipation in older adults.

    METHODS: The electronic databases PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect were systematically searched for studies reporting the prevalence of constipation in older adults up to February 2022. To perform the analysis, the random effects model was used, and heterogeneity was assessed by Cochran's Q test and expressed as I2.

    RESULTS: Out of 5341 evaluated publications, 36 met the eligibility criteria. These studies included 58,405 older adults aged 60-93 years. The overall prevalence of constipation in older adults was 18.9% (95% confidence interval [95% CI]: 14.7-23.9%). The prevalence of constipation in older adults according to Rome II criteria was 16.2% (95% CI: 6.8-33.7), based on Rome III criteria was 19.2% (95% CI: 12.6-28.1), and based on Rome IV criteria was 10.3% (95% CI: 5.8-17.7). The highest prevalence of constipation was found in older adults in Africa at 32.3% (95% CI: 21.5-45.4), and the lowest in Asia at 13.6% (95% CI: 9.1-19.9). Concerning diagnostic tools, the highest prevalence of constipation was found if a self-reporting tool was applied with a value of 19.7% (95% CI: 15.8-24.3).

    CONCLUSION: The results suggest that health policymakers should pay more attention to the prevention of constipation in older adults, including raising public awareness to the importance of nutrition and diet and physical activity in older adults.

    OBJECTIVE: This study aims to investigate the anti-inflammatory mechanism of monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in carrageenan (CARR) induced inflammation models to reprofile their use. We also aimed to explore the role of monoamine oxidase (MAO)-mediated H2O2-NF-κB-COX-2 pathway in acute inflammation.

    METHODS: In vitro anti-inflammatory activity and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) scavenging activity were performed according to the established procedure. Inflammation was induced using CARR in BALB/c mice at the foot paw and peritoneal cavity. Hourly measurement of paw swelling was performed. The level of nitric oxide (NO), myeloperoxidase (MPO), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) was determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Peritoneal fluid was collected to investigate total count, differential count of leukocytes, and capillary permeability.

    RESULTS: In vitro anti-inflammatory evaluations revealed the potential role of MAOI to inhibit heat-induced protein denaturation and human red cell membrane destabilization. H2O2 inhibition activity of MAOI also proved their powerful role as an H2O2 scavenger. Treatment with MAOI in CARR-induced mice significantly reduced paw edema, leukocyte extravasation, and total and differential leukocyte count. The result of ELISA showed MAOI effectively reduce the level of COX-2, PGE2 and NF-κB in inflamed tissue.

    CONCLUSIONS: In short, this study demonstrates that inhibition of H2O2 by MAOI alleviates CARR-induced paw edema possibly by inhibiting the H2O2-mediated NF-κB-COX-2 pathway. The present investigation identifies MAOI might reprofile for the treatment of acute inflammation also, the MAO enzyme may use as a novel therapeutic target to design and develop new class of anti-inflammatory agents.

    Implementation of industrial wastes such as bottom ash in ground improvement can be cost-effective and environment-friendly. Ground improvement is an effective method of mitigation to improve problematic soils including soft kaolin clay soils as the problematic soils always expose to the severe settlements, low shear strength, immoderate plasticity, greater compressibility, dispersivity, bulging, erodibility, and susceptibility to climatic variables. Several studies conducted on the granular column using the bottom ash column. However, only a few studies have reported findings coherent with the statistical analysis. In this study, the lateral load capacity of bottom ash column-kaolin clay has been conducted. Coherently, the reinforced kaolin clay samples were tested via particle size distribution, Atterberg limit test, relative density, compaction test, permeability test, unconfined compression test, and unconsolidated undrained triaxial test with the single and group of encapsulated bottom ash columns with the geotextile encasement and a prediction model was developed. The effect of a number of columns, column diameter, column height, area replacement ratio, height penetration ratio, height-diameter column ratio, volume replacement ratio, and confining pressures on the shear strength of the single and group of encapsulated bottom ash columns have been investigated. The findings showed the effectiveness of using the bottom ash columns at various number of column, column diameter, column height, area replacement ratio, height penetration ratio, height-diameter column ratio, volume replacement ratio, and confining pressures can enhance the shear strength of the soil up to 77.00% at the optimal utilization of single encapsulated bottom ash column of 10-mm diameter and 80-mm height. Therefore, the study proved that the utilization of bottom ash waste as a granular column can significantly enhance the lateral load capacity of soft kaolin clay soil.

    OBJECTIVES: The early gastrointestinal (GI) manifestation of systemic sclerosis (SSc) suggests a possible GI microbiota engagement in the pathophysiology and/or progression of SSc. Previous studies have revealed dysbiosis among Caucasian SSc patients. This study extends these findings to Asian SSc patients.

    METHODS: Adult SSc patients, stratified according to 1) on immunosuppressive (On-IS) drugs or 2) no immunosuppressive drugs (No-IS), and age-and-sex-matched healthy controls (HC) were recruited. Metagenomic sequencing of stool DNA was compared between SSc patients and HC, and between SSc (On-IS) and (No-IS) patients. Alpha and beta-diversity, taxonomic and functional profiling were evaluated.

    RESULTS: Twenty-three female SSc patients (12 On-IS; 11 No-IS; 5 diffuse and 18 limited SSc subtype) and 19 female HC, with median age of 54 years and 56 years, respectively, were recruited. Median SSc disease duration was 3.3 years. Alpha diversity was significantly higher in SSc versus HC (p=0.014) and in SSc (No-IS) versus HC (p=0.006). There was no significant difference in beta diversity between SSc and HC (p=0.307). At the phyla level, there were significantly increased abundance of Firmicutes and Actinobacteria in SSc versus HC, and reduced abundance of Bacteroidetes (all p<0.001). At the species level, there were significantly increased abundance of several Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Coprococcus species in SSc, and increased abundance of Odoribacter, Bacteroides and Prevotella species in HC. KEGG pathway analysis demonstrated distinct differences between SSc versus HC, and between SSc (No-IS) and SSc (On-IS).

    CONCLUSIONS: Using metagenomic sequencing, our study further underlines distinct alterations in microbiota profiling among Asian SSc patients.

    Alzheimer's disease is the most common neurological disease worldwide. Unfortunately, there are currently no effective treatment methods nor early detection methods. Furthermore, the disease underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. Global bulk gene expression profiling suggested that the disease is governed by diverse transcriptional regulatory networks. Thus, to identify distinct transcriptional networks impacted into distinct neuronal populations in Alzheimer, we surveyed gene expression differences in over 25,000 single-nuclei collected from the brains of two Alzheimer's in disease patients in Braak stage I and II and age- and gender-matched controls hippocampal brain samples. APOE status was not measured for this study samples (as well as CERAD and THAL scores). Our bioinformatic analysis identified discrete glial, immune, neuronal and vascular cell populations spanning Alzheimer's disease and controls. Astrocytes and microglia displayed the greatest transcriptomic impacts, with the induction of both shared and distinct gene programs.

    Perinatal distress affects approximately 10% of fathers, but little is known about how gay fathers experience the challenges surrounding childbirth and early parenting of a child. This study explored gay fathers' experiences of having a baby via transnational surrogacy, raising that baby as a gay parent, and the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. In-depth qualitative interviews were conducted with 15 Israeli men to understand their experiences of surrogacy and early parenthood, focusing on the impact on their mental health and the relational factors involved. Secondary narrative analysis revealed that fathers constructed surrogacy as a perilous quest that required strong intentionality to undertake. The first year of parenthood was conceptualised alternately as a joyful experience and/or one that challenged fathers' identities and mental health. A relational framework was applied to better conceptualise the fathers' narratives, revealing that actual connections-and the potentials for links-considerably shaped experiences of surrogacy, perinatal distress and recovery. Implications for research and policy are discussed.

    Hypervirulent Aeromonas hydrophila (vAh) has emerged as the etiologic agent of epidemic outbreaks of motile Aeromonas septicemia (MAS) in high-density aquaculture of farmed carp in China and catfish in the United States, which has caused millions of tons of lost fish. We conducted a global survey to better understand the evolution, geographical distribution, and phylogeny of vAh. Aeromonas isolates were isolated from fish that showed clinical symptoms of MAS, and pure cultures were screened for the ability to utilize myo-inositol as the sole carbon source. A total of 113 myo-inositol-utilizing bacterial strains were included in this study, including additional strains obtained from previously published culture collections. Based on a gyrB phylogeny, this collection included 66 A. hydrophila isolates, 48 of which were vAh. This collection also included five new vAh isolates from diseased Pangas catfish (Pangasius pangasius) and striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) obtained in Cambodia and Vietnam, respectively. Genome sequences were generated from representative vAh and non-vAh isolates to evaluate the potential for lateral genetic transfer of the myo-inositol catabolism pathway. Phylogenetic analyses of each of the nine genes required for myo-inositol utilization revealed the close affiliation of vAh strains regardless of geographic origin and suggested lateral genetic transfer of this catabolic pathway from an Enterobacter species. Prediction of virulence factors was conducted to determine differences between vAh and non-vAh strains in terms of virulence and secretion systems. Core genome phylogenetic analyses on vAh isolates and Aeromonas spp. disease isolates (55 in total) were conducted to evaluate the evolutionary relationships among vAh and other Aeromonas sp. isolates, which supported the clonal nature of vAh isolates. IMPORTANCE This global survey of vAh brought together scientists that study fish disease to evaluate the evolution, geographical distribution, phylogeny, and hosts of vAh and other Aeromonas sp. isolates. In addition to vAh isolates from China and the United States, four new vAh isolates were isolated from the lower Mekong River basin in Cambodia and Vietnam, indicating the significant threat of vAh to modern aquaculture and the need for improved biosecurity to prevent vAh spread.

    The world's largest macroalgal green tide, caused by Ulva prolifera, has resulted in serious consequences for coastal waters of the Yellow Sea, China. Although viruses are considered to be one of the key factors in controlling microalgal bloom demise, understanding of the relationship between viral communities and the macroalgal green tide is still poor. Here, a Qingdao coastal virome (QDCV) time-series data set was constructed based on the metagenomic analysis of 17 DNA viromes along three coastal stations of the Yellow Sea, covering different stages of the green tide from Julian days 165 to 271. A total of 40,076 viral contigs were detected and clustered into 28,058 viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs). About 84% of the vOTUs could not be classified, and 62% separated from vOTUs in other ecosystems. Green tides significantly influenced the spatiotemporal dynamics of the viral community structure, diversity, and potential functions. For the classified vOTUs, the relative abundance of Pelagibacter phages declined with the arrival of the bloom and rebounded after the bloom, while Synechococcus and Roseobacter phages increased, although with a time lag from the peak of their hosts. More than 80% of the vOTUs reached peaks in abundance at different specific stages, and the viral peaks were correlated with specific hosts at different stages of the green tide. Most of the viral auxiliary metabolic genes (AMGs) were associated with carbon and sulfur metabolism and showed spatiotemporal dynamics relating to the degradation of the large amount of organic matter released by the green tide. IMPORTANCE To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to investigate the responses of viruses to the world's largest macroalgal green tide. It revealed the spatiotemporal dynamics of the unique viral assemblages and auxiliary metabolic genes (AMGs) following the variation and degradation of Ulva prolifera. These findings demonstrate a tight coupling between viral assemblages, and prokaryotic and eukaryotic abundances were influenced by the green tide.

    INTRODUCTION: Pharmaceutical care (PC) is the philosophy of the pharmacist's practice to achieve a better health-related outcome by designing, implementing and monitoring the therapeutic plans. It is in its infancy in Yemen. Hence, the study objectives were to examine the barriers to PC provision as perceived by Yemen pharmacy students and to assess their level of understanding of PC and their attitudes toward PC.

    METHODOLOGY: A cross-sectional study was conducted among ten pharmacy colleges in Yemen, offering undergraduate pharmacy programs. A stratified sample of 518 students from the included universities were surveyed using a well-structured, validated and self-administered questionnaire. Chi-square, Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal-Wallis tests were conducted at an alpha level of 0.05.

    RESULTS: Four hundred and seventy-five (475) participants were included (92.9% response rate). More than 17% (n=84) of participants were involved in Pharm.D program, and nearly 29.9% (n=142) preferred pharmaceutical marketing as a career after graduation. About 65% of participants recognized the purpose of PC, and pharmacists' role within PC. However, only 43.8% (n=208) knew the difference between clinical pharmacy and PC. About 82% of respondents showed very good attitudes toward PC. Pharm.D students showed higher attitudes' total scores, median (IQR): 4.3 (4.1-4.4), 4.2 (4-4.2) and 4 (3.9-4.2) for Pharm.D, bachelor of pharmacy and bachelor of clinical pharmacy respectively, (p-value = 0.032). Moreover, students who currently employed in pharmacy-related job during their study were also associated with high attitudes scores compared to unemployed students, median (IQR): 4.2 (4-4.4) and 4(3.9-4.1) respectively (p-value = 0.023). "Lack of access to the patient medical record in the pharmacy" and "inadequate (hospital and community pharmacy) internship period" were the top reported barriers with 81.5% (n=387) agreement.

    CONCLUSION: Although PC is in its infancy in Yemen, pharmacy students showed positive attitudes toward practicing PC. Educational institutions should exert efforts for curricular revision to improve understanding, and overcome the reported barriers in the future.

    Conventional three-electrode systems used in electrochemical measurement demand time-consuming and maintenance intensive procedures to enable accurate and repeatable electrochemical measurements. Traditionally, different metal configurations are used to establish the electrochemical gradient required to acquire the redox activity, and vary between different electrochemical measurement platforms. However, in this work, we report using the same metal (gold) for the counter, working and reference electrodes fabricated on a miniaturized printed circuit board (PCB) for a much simpler design. Potassium ferricyanide, widely used as a redox probe for electrochemical characterization, was utilized to acquire cyclic voltametric profiles using both the printed circuit board-based gold-gold-gold three-electrode and conventional three-electrode systems (glassy carbon electrode or graphite foil as the working electrode, platinum wire as the counter electrode, and Ag/AgCl as the reference electrode). The results show that both types of electrode systems generated similar cyclic voltammograms within the same potential window (-0.5 to +0.7 V). However, the novel PCB-based same-metal three-electrode electrochemical cell only required a few activation cycles and exhibited impressive cyclic voltametric repeatability with higher redox sensitivity and detection window, while using only trace amounts of solutions/analytes.

    INTRODUCTION: Nipah virus (NiV) and Hendra virus (HeV), of the genus Henipavirus, family Paramyxoviridae, are classified as Risk Group 4 (RG4) pathogens that cause respiratory disease in pigs and acute/febrile encephalitis in humans with high mortality.

    METHODS: A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) using a monoclonal antibody (mAb) and recombinant NiV glycoprotein (G) was developed and laboratory evaluated using sera from experimental pigs, mini pigs and nonhuman primates. The test depends on competition between specific antibodies in positive sera and a virus-specific mAb for binding to NiV-G.

    RESULTS: Based on 1,199 negative and 71 NiV positive serum test results, the cutoff value was determined as 35% inhibition. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of the NiV cELISA was 98.58 and 99.92%, respectively. When testing sera from animals experimentally infected with NiV Malaysia, the cELISA detected antibodies from 14 days post-infection (dpi) and remained positive until the end of the experiment (28 dpi). Comparisons using the Kappa coefficient showed strong agreement (100%) between the cELISA and a plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT).

    DISCUSSION: Because our cELISA is simpler, faster, and gives comparable or better results than PRNT, it would be an adequate screening test for suspect NiV and HeV cases, and it would also be useful for epidemiological surveillance of Henipavirus infections in different animal species without changing reagents.

    Recent studies reasoned that digitalising business processes support financial inclusion, resulting in greater economic activities and growth. Digital financial inclusion is argued to be accessible to some privileged and digitally savvy individuals. However, digitalised financial services do not always guarantee financial inclusion. This study examines how the digitalisation of business processes might instil financial inclusion in lower-middle-income ASEAN economies. Based on the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory, the digitalisation of business processes is modelled by fixed high-speed broadband, mobile and cellular subscriptions as a predictor of financial inclusion. The pooled mean group estimation of the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model is employed to determine the effect of digitalisation on the financial inclusion of Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam economies. The key finding is the significance of digitalisation in inducing the financial inclusion of lower-middle-income ASEAN economies. The digitalisation of business processes significantly affects the accessibility of private businesses to domestic credit provided by their banks.

    Researchers have been striving to investigate the causes and consequences associated with writing anxiety experienced by students of foreign languages. This study aimed to investigate the level and nature of writing anxiety experienced by learners of foreign languages, considering gender as a variable. The study's second goal was to uncover the learners' perspectives on writing anxiety and the factors that contribute to it. The convenience sample method was used to choose seventy-six students to participate in the English language teacher training course. Second Language Writing Anxiety Reasons Inventory (SLWARI) and Second Language Writing Anxiety Inventory (SLWAI) (Cheng, 2004; Kara, 2013) [1,2] were used in order to determine the levels and types of anxiety that are associated with learners' foreign language writing. Both inventories were used to determine what causes learners' foreign language writing. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of how students perceive the level of anxiety they feel when writing, a semi-structured interview was conducted with each participant. The data showed that there was no difference when taking into account learners' gender concerning their anxiety levels and kinds. The vast majority of individuals reported feeling a significant amount of anxiety. The subjects exhibited cognitive anxiety symptoms, although there were no indications of gender effect. The responses to the interview questions highlighted a deficiency in both writing practice and linguistic expertise as critical contributors to anxious sentiments.

    This paper aims to examine convergence of income inequality in 21 OECD countries using several empirical techniques. In particular, we have used a new panel stationarity test, which allows for structural changes and cross-sectional dependence to examine the stochastic convergence of income inequality. We also employed a time series approach, residual augmented least squares-Lagrange multiplier unit root test. The empirical results show evidence for absolute, conditional, and sigma convergence. The conditional convergence test results suggest that countries are converging, but conditional on the two structural factors-economic and population growth. The stochastic convergence test results indicate the existence of convergence at the country-specific level. The results further confirm the existence of convergent clubs among OECD countries.
