Fabian Society is a type of political think tank which was founded by a group of students and
intellectuals at London School of Economics (LSE), United Kingdom in the late of 19 centuries. The
Fabian political thought is a new manifestation of socialist ideology in United Kingdom emerged through the role of Labour Party Partiat that time. After the World War II, the influence of this political
thought began to widespread throughout Malaya via British-educated Malayan students. This
development brought about a new form of political idealism based on social-democrat orientation
which emphasized on class struggles and civil issues in Malaya. Thus, the aim of this article is to
scrutinize objectively and descriptively the influence of the Fabian political thought in the Malaysian
political development from 1952 to 1970. Using the approach of history reconstructionist, the analysis
discussion was developed based on the use of primary sources as the argument base. The research
findings indicate that the influence of the Fabian political thought developed in Malaya by the role of
the socialist intellectual-progressive group throughout the research. The development did not only
involve labour movements and left-wing political parties such as Malayan Democratic Union (MDU)
and the Malayan Labour Party, but it also influenced students movements at universities through
University of Malaya Socialist Club in Singapore around 1950s and students societies in Universiti
Malaya, Kuala Lumpur around 1960s. In fact, at the same time the progressive Fabian group slipped in
right-conservative group through their direct involvement in UMNO and the Perikatan regime at the
time. This indirectly proves that there is a different side of the socialist role through the role of the
Fabian group in the development of democracy and politics in Malaysia.

On May 2018, Malaysia witnessed a full-scale wave of change when the dominant authoritarian party
Barisan Nasional was defeated under the pretext of democratic process known as the “mother of all
elections”. The electoral victory was finally secured by the opposition party Pakatan Harapan. The
outcomes suggested that the wave of political change and the democratization process were not
impossible and yet inevitable and inclusive by taking into account the notion of multi-racial society.
This study presents a theoretical debates by inserting an empirical comprehension so that the embedded
phenomenon can be explored profoundly in regards to the ideas of regime change and democratization
    through election.

Teaching method is an essential element in stimulating the interest in students subsequently their
achievement in a subject, especially for the subject of History that is, for a long time, considered as a
boring subject. The objective of this study is to identify the method of preference for pre-university
students, particularly those who take the History subject and the reasons that motivate the students to
be interested in the method. This study uses a qualitative design that combines the two main methods
of interviewing and observation. The sampling was intended to be used in this study. The sample of the
study consisted of four students who took the History subject at the Malaysian High School Certificate
(STPM) level in the district of Kota Kinabalu. The findings of this study can be seen from the main
theme of the study which is the method that interest the students and the justification of selection of the
method among them. Overall, the findings show that there exist diversity of methods that students are
interested in, namely the presentation method, questionnaire session, Gallery Walk and debate. Furthermore, being able to inculcate new skills, increasing motivation, interest and improving students’
achievement are the justifications given by students to the selection of methods among students. As
such, teachers play an important role in selecting the teaching methods that are appropriate to the needs
of students throughout the teaching and learning process to ensure the objective of teaching and
    learning can be achieved.

Arabic learning among religious-oriented students is a must and should be studied as it is included in
public examination such as PT3, SPM and STPM. To learn it effectively, students need to have high
level of motivational beliefs because Arabic language is a rather difficult and challenging subject for
students who are non-speakers. Previous studies recorded a low level of motivation for Arabic
language because it was difficult to master it. Hence, this study will explain the possibility of teachers'
teaching influence students’ motivational beliefs in Arabic language. A quantitative approach used in
this research and conducted using the Student's Evaluation of Teaching Effectiveness Rating Scale
(SETERS) and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) questionnaire as an
instrument that was responded to by 542 form 4 religious-oriented students. The data was processed through Pearson correlation analysis. The findings show that the moderate, but significant and positive
relationship between teacher’s teaching and motivational beliefs of religious-oriented students in
learning Arabic language. In this regard, teachers need to diversify their teaching strategies in terms of
delivery learning materials, interaction and the provision of conducive learning environment. This
effort will increase the student's motivational beliefs to Arabic language while developing more
effective and comprehensive Arabic language mastery potential.

Healthy competition in the field of education makes every individual strive to improve their abilities and competencies in terms of knowledge, skills and values related to mathematics. Mathematics as an important communication tool in the pursuit of the progress of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era requires a community that is fluent and literate in mathematics. The main focus is to produce a generation of leaders who are analytical, critical and logical thinking urging the education sector to identify issues and shortcomings of self-efficacy related to mathematics from the grassroots level. The purpose of this study is to make a systematic literature review on the components of self-efficacy and its inclusion in mathematics education research. Two research questions that are emphasised are the components of self-efficacy and how self-efficacy is studied in empirical research in mathematics education. This study uses the PRISMA Model. Two search engines are used, namely the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and Google Scholar. Out of the 152 articles identified, a total of 20 articles were accepted that met the purpose of the study. Based on the analysis conducted, there are 4 components of self-efficacy that have been identified, namely mathematical self-efficacy, technological self-efficacy, academic self-efficacy and teaching self-efficacy. The findings also show that the majority of self-efficacy studies are conducted quantitatively compared to qualitatively. The main research lines observed were the level of self-efficacy, the relationship between self-efficacy and other relevant variables, and the development of self-efficacy. Although many previous studies have been conducted in the Asian continent, the number of studies that emphasise self-efficacy in the Malaysian environment is still considered small. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to provide a deep understanding so that such studies can be implemented in the context of education in Malaysia.

The Malaysian Constitution has set Malay language as the official language of the country and the
medium of teaching and learning (Noraien Mansor & Noor Rohana Mansor, 2013). The usage of the Malay language should not be disturbed as it becomes an important medium in establishing and
strengthening the harmonious and unity of the Malaysian society. However, it is found today that the
solidification of Malay language has continuously been challenged and undermined it as a national and
unity language as a result of the influence and development of the world's new order which shows that
the usage of English language has been prioritised in the field of education, employment and
communication (Nor Hashimah Jalaluddin, 2010). The emphasis on the importance of science and
technology as well as English language has been resulted in losing confidence towards the Malay
language among some individuals including the non-Malay students from the private universities and
those who are using English language as their learning medium. Furthermore, there is a group of
students who are more convenience in using their mother tongues languages than the Malay language.
This study aims to discuss the issue of the usage of Malay language in the private higher education
institutions and to analyse the weaknesses in the usage of Malay language among the private university
students. Hence, a study was conducted on 100 private university students by using random sampling
methods. The findings reveal that the level of strengthening of Malay language among the private
university students is moderate. This is due to the issues of Malay language usage in the private
universities including the students' priorities on the English language, lacking of fluency in Malay
language, lacking of co-operation and efforts among the lecturers and university management, lacking
of emphasis on constitutional meanings and lacking of confidence on the status of Malay language.
Thus, the scenario in strengthening the Malay language among the private university students should
not be undervalued but need to be strengthened prior to the threat of destruction as Malay language has
the greatest potential in various fields and this generation is able to shape the stability of social
relations as well as the continuity of the Malay language in the Malaysian civilization.

Behaviour is the way an individual translate input derived from interactions into action and reaction, either through verbal communication or through nonverbal communication. Behaviour is also influenced by an individual's emotions to respond or to react when interacting in the social context of society. However, social symptoms are getting a huge blow from the teens. The negativity in socialization are intensely prominent among teenagers. The behaviour of a school teen who violates the norm is a behaviour of a delinquent. These cases of misconduct have a negative impact on the wellbeing and peace of life in the community. In addition, there have been cases of social collapse of morals now widely circulating in the media regarding sexually explicit acts such as rape and premarital pregnancy. Several social factors can be identified to influence teens, of which most of them are still schooling. Therefore, this research aims to study the factors, relevance and differences of socialization in influencing individual behaviour. Total of 120 students, including 70 boys from Sekolah Tunas Bakti Sg. Besi and 50 girls from Asrama Bahagia Kg. Pandan. Both schools are those who are involved in juvenile cases and under control of the Department of Social Welfare (JKM). The design of the study is descriptive. Data was collected through a three-part questionnaire, which comprises of A Background Information of Students, B Five Socialization Factors, and C Aggressive Behaviour. The data collected was then analysed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) to evaluate percentages, frequency, correlation, T-test and Anova. Results found that male students were more likely to be influenced by mass media factors while female students were more likely to be influenced by peers. Ultimately, the research results reveal that the behaviour of individuals is influenced by three main factors, namely the media, peers and individual self. There were no significant differences between male and female gender for socialization factors influencing aggressive behavior. Therefore, some proposals have been formulated such as form new acts, emphasizing the importance of family as well as educational institutions such as schools.
