METHODS: University students who were studying in a Malaysia university with a mean age of 24.0 years (n = 380; females 71.6%) were recruited through convenience sampling between 19 August and 30 September 2021. They completed a Google Form consisting of information on sociodemographic background, weight stigma, psychological distress and self-reported body weight and height. Psychometric testing was conducted using the classical test theory (including confirmatory factor analysis) and Rasch models to confirm the two-factor structure of WSSQ and the unidimensional structure of the PWS using the various fit indices. Concurrent validity of the total scores of WSSQ and PWS with psychological distress and body mass index (BMI) was also investigated. Internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha was conducted.
RESULTS: The confirmatory factor analyses and Rasch analyses verified the two-factor structure for the WSSQ and the single-factor structure for the PWS. Both the WSSQ and PWS showed good internal consistency and good concurrent validity as demonstrated by their significant correlations with psychological distress and BMI.
CONCLUSION: The WSSQ and PWS have strong validity and reliability, and they can both be used to assess weight stigma among Malaysian university students.

DESIGN: Prospective case series, Proof of concept pilot study.
SETTING: Tertiary Health Care Center, Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban, Malaysia. Department of Surgery.
PARTICIPANTS: A total of 17 patients diagnosed with advanced COJ tumour and who had never undergone any surgical, endoscopic, or chemoradiotherapy and indicated for stenting were recruited.
INTERVENTIONS: The study period was over nine months, and follow-up was one-month post-stenting.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Endpoint measures were feasibility of deployment of the new design, symptoms relief, early stent migration, early complication, GERD Q score, and (QOL)assessment.
RESULTS: The ART stent was inserted successfully in all cases (17/17, 100%). There were two stent migrations due to the flexibility of the stent at the neck. There were no early or post-stenting one-month complications associated with the procedure. A good flow of contrast was seen in all the stents deployed. GERD Q score was low in all patients pre and post-stenting. Post-stenting there was a relief of dysphagia, weight gain, and a 60% improvement in QOL score.
CONCLUSIONS: ART stent is feasible and technically successful in COJ tumours. It provides good symptom relief, improves the QOL, and has minimal early complications.

LEARNING POINTS: When patients present with pituitary mass and diabetes insipidus (DI), pituitary metastasis should be considered as an initial differential diagnosis. DI caused by pituitary adenoma is rare and is typically a late finding.DI can present as severe hyponatremia when coexisting with adrenal insufficiency.Cortisol can directly inhibit endogenous antidiuretic hormone (ADH) secretion. Patients with adrenocorticotropic hormone deficiency will have increased tonic ADH activity and subsequently reduced capacity for free-water excretion. However, when on steroid therapy, patients should be monitored for possible DI because steroids can restore free-water excretion.A substantial change in serum sodium after desmopressin treatment should eliminate the possibility of desmopressin overdose or coexistence of DI and syndrome of inappropriate ADH secretion in patients with lung cancer. Therefore, frequent monitoring of serum sodium concentrations is crucial.
