    Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use constitute important belief factors when technology adoption decisions are made within a non-mandatory setting. This paper investigated the role played by psychological ownership in shaping teachers' beliefs about using a cloud-based virtual learning environment (VLE). Psychological ownership is increasingly becoming a relevant phenomenon in technology adoption research, where people can feel psychologically attached to a particular technology. The study proposed that such phenomenon can also occur when using a VLE, and a hypothesised model with six constructs was tested with 629 Malaysian teachers from 21 schools. Results from structural equation modelling-partial least squares analysis found teachers' experiences with the VLE significantly influenced psychological ownership, which in turn significantly predicted perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the VLE. Overall, the model possesses predictive relevance for the outcome predictors as indicated by Stone-Geisser's Q2, and accounted for 61.6% of variance in perceived usefulness and 62.0% of variance in perceived ease of use. This study provides insights into the motivation behind teachers' beliefs which are shaped by their experiences with the VLE. Implications for theory and practice were discussed based on the insights of the study.

    Introduction: While there are many root morphology classification systems with their own distinct advantages, there are many shortcomings that come along with each system.

    Objectives: The aim of this review was to compare the various root and root canal morphology classifications, their advantages, limitations, and clinical and research implications. Data Sources and Selection. An extensive literature search was conducted on PubMed and Scopus to identify the published data on root and root canal classification systems published until 1 May 2020 using keywords, root canal classification system, classification systems for root canals, and root morphology. The related literature was reviewed and then summarized. Data Synthesis. Several studies have analysed and detailed root and root canal classifications and further added new subsystems, works of Weine et al. (1969) and Vertucci et al. (1974). Besides, Sert and Bayirli (2004) added supplementary types to Vertucci's classification system. A new classification was most recently introduced by Ahmed et al. (2017) involving the use of codes for tooth numbering, number of roots, and canal configuration.

    Conclusions: Weine et al. classified only single-rooted teeth, without considering multirooted teeth and complex configurations. Vertucci's classification included complex configurations, with Sert and Bayirli adding further complex supplemental types. Ahmed et al.'s classification simplifies classifying root and canal morphology while overcoming the limitations of several previous classification systems making it beneficial for implementation in dental schools.

    Introduction: Learning disability (LD) is a neurologically related processing problem which can interfere with basic and higher learning skill. The prevalence of learning disability was estimated to be ranging from 5 and 9 percent in general population. The aim of this study was to describe the trend of LD among lower primary school children particularly among Year 3 school children from 2013 to 2018. Methods: Data were taken from the Ministry of Health database on LD among lower primary school children particularly among Year 3 school children in Malaysia from 2013 until 2018. These data were collected from the assessment of LD school children who were referred from schools nationwide to the government medical practitioners. Results: There were approximately 2.6 million Year 3 school children in Malaysia from 2013 until 2018. Of these, a total of 9,063 school children were diagnosed to have LD. There was an increase trend in the incidence of LD from 13 per 10,000 school children in 2013 to 77 per 10,000 school children in 2016. From 2017 onwards there was a reduction in the incidence which consistently remained at 35 per 10,000 school children. Of these, the highest incidence was seen in school children with Intellectual Disabil-ity (ranging from 18 to 36 per 10,000 school children) followed by those with Specific Learning Disability (ranging from 1 to 23 per 10,000 school children) from 2013 until 2018. Conclusion: Learning disability although not as common as other disabilities in general population is still an important issue that need to be tackled to improve the well-being of those affected.

    Lower Perak, an alluvial plain, much of it below spring tide levels, lies between tidal reaches of the large Perak and Bernam rivers. It has a mixed rural population, about 40 per cent. being Malaysians. Inspection, with individual card records, was made of 2, 388 boys in vernacular schools aged 6 to 16 years, local prejudice exempting girls. The diet, largely rice, of these children appears deficient in animal protein, and probably in calcium, iron, phosphorus, and vitamin B. They show few signs of deficiency diseases, have a dental caries rate of about 70 per cent., and one-third had poor muscular development. They suffer mainly from fever, anaemia and skin infections. * An asterisk denotes that the paper dealt with is thought to be of more than ordinary interest to tropical readers. As ages were quite unreliable, only the 513 presenting birth certificates were grouped to the nearest birthday. Full correlation tables are given for the 513 and 2, 388 boys. To eliminate doubtful ages the, Baldwin-Wood tables were used to calculate the mean weights of Americans at the height of the Perak boys, and now the Americans only [img 1T161260B.tif] come out slightly higher than these. The essential difference therefore seems to be more a matter of size and physical development in relation to age, than any significant change in-ratios at different ages. Comparison was made with Kedah measurements. This is a similar district 120 miles north of Lower Perak. Curves are used which are not strictly comparable, as some girls were included, but Dr. J. H. STRACHAN took out the figures of 1, 018 Kedah boys. These are compared with the 2, 388 Perak boys, in weight for inches in height. Although the conditions and districts seem in all respects similar the Kedah boys are significantly lighter for all heights. No explanation has been found for this. The authors insist on the usefulness of correlation tables. " It is obvious that the medium American boys are much heavier than the Malaysian children. But the second American weight/height curve seems to show that if one selects for comparison boys of the same stature at each age, the American boys would be on the whole only slightly heavier than the Lower Perak boys."     BASIC: Life support is an emergency measure to make the airway, breathing without obstruction and helps maintain blood circulation without using tools. Student nurses perform nursing profession must have the skills to perform basic life support basic life support. Help in improving basic life skills student nursing profession in the implementation of basic life support in RSU Karsa Husada Batu. The study design was quasi (quasi-experimental designs) to design one group pre test and post test. Data collection tools with observation sheet with a sample of 30 respondents using random sampling techniques. The independent variable in this study is the simulation simulated basic life support and the dependent variable in this study is the student skills in performing simulated basic life support. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test-signed rank test with α=0.05.

    RESULTS: showed before getting simulated basic life support skills of the respondents have enough skill as much as 46.7% (14 respondents) and after getting simulated basic life support skills of respondents, 76.73% (23 respondents). Based on Wilcoxon test signed rank test (Asym.p Sig. 2 tailed) earned value 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is less than <0.05. It can be concluded that there effect simulation help in improving basic life skills nursing profession student assistance in implementing the basic life in RSU Karsa Husada Batu. Students of the nursing profession who have obtained basic aid simulation have good skills increases due to learning their simulations to the knowledge and practice in performing basic life support.

    Although the transformation towards adopting an Outcome-based Education (OBE) is gathering momentum globally, several medical schools are finding it hard to implement the change. Based and built on authors’ experience and cues from the literature, the tips – relating to the process of identification, description and dissemination of learning outcomes (LOs); usage of LOs to ascertain the curricular contents, the teaching/learning and assessment methods; implementing, monitoring and reviewing the curriculum – are the actions that the institutions of higher learning need to perform to transform the existing curriculum or to develop an altogether a new curriculum according to OBE approach. The development of the faculty through dialogues, discussions and training sessions should be an initial and essential step in this process. It is hoped that these tips will alley some of the fears and facilitate the adoption of OBE curriculum in new as well as in existing established institutions.

    Learning a new language is a challenging task. In many countries, students are encouraged to learn an international language at school level. In particular, English is the most widely used international language and is being taught at the school level in many countries. The ubiquity and accessibility of smartphones combined with the recent developments in mobile application and gamification in teaching and training have paved the way for experimenting with language learning using mobile phones. This article presents a systematic literature review of the published research work in mobile-assisted language learning. To this end, more than 60 relevant primary studies which have been published in well-reputed venues have been selected for further analysis. The detailed analysis reveals that researchers developed many different simple and gamified mobile applications for learning languages based on various theories, frameworks, and advanced tools. Furthermore, the study also analyses how different applications have been evaluated and tested at different educational levels using different experimental settings while incorporating a variety of evaluation measures. Lastly, a taxonomy has been proposed for the research work in mobile-assisted language learning, which is followed by promising future research challenges in this domain.

    Three primary schools with three different food service managements in Kuala Selangor were selected for this study. Food samples served for five school days were taken and analyzed for calories, protein, fat and carbohydrate. It was observed that most of the food served was rice-based such as nasi lemak, chicken rice, noodles and traditional cakes. The amount of calories and protein per serving ranged from 77-274 kcal and 0.9-3.6 g respectively. Food served under the Supplementary School Feeding Programme contained higher calories than those sold by these school canteens. However, the amounts of protein and calories were still short of the expected amounts recommended by the Ministry of Education, which according to menu should provide at least 10 g protein and 290-390 kcal. The percentage contributions of energy from protein in foods served at school canteens were also lower than the recommended.

    Medical humanities use the creative and intellectual strengths of the arts for specific purposes in medical education. The author read with great interest the Medical humanities program at the Patan Academy of Health Sciences and has been associated with Medical humanities since 2007. There are several factors favouring the development of Medical humanities in Nepal but the major challenge is there is no specific faculty and/or department involved and the discipline may be relegated to the background in the face of other pressing priorities. In the west humanities faculty had played an important role in popularizing Medical humanities. Clinical teachers can incorporate Medical humanities into their clinical teaching.     The discipline of psychiatry requires the use of thinking skills to perform a number of tasks. The assessment of a patient’s history, his mental state especially the evaluation of thought disorders, the formulation of a diagnosis and differential diagnosis, the formulation of a management plan for what are often complex human problems and the wise application of therapeutic techniques, all require complex thinking skills. The process of communication with patients and their relatives is often fraught with pitfalls that requires a thoughtful approach that makes use of consciously shared information as well as non-verbal information. Evaluating scientific papers is another area that requires critical thinking. At times the lack of critical thinking is painfully apparent. It appears that schools, and sadly universities too, are merely training people and not educating them. Occasionally, of course, one is pleasantly surprised to come across a student with a very sharp and critical mind.

    Background : Safety and health is one of major concerns in public health issues. There are lots of injuries or accidents reported in the news which include school accidents and injuries.
    Methodology : This survey was conducted among head of primary schools in Kota Bharu from May to June 2004. The objective of this study was to investigate the awareness about safety and health status among school’s head using a questionnaire.
    Result : The study showed that knowledge on safety and health among the school’s heads were relatively low (7.7%). Forty-two percent of the schools did not implement any safety and health programme while more than 50 % did not have safety policies in their school.
    Conclusions : It is necessary to have specific safety programmes in school in order to improve the safety and health awareness among teachers, staff, students and community.

    Due to cost containment considerations, it is common to have medical schools being
    located in buildings or campuses built for some other purposes. These buildings are converted into
    medical schools which often compromising the functional architectural aspects. Objectives: The
    paper examines, explores and proposes an architectural concept of a purpose-built medical school. The
    architectural design proposed is sensitive to the values and norms of many schools around the globe.
    Methods: An Internet search and personal communication were conducted, focusing on the concepts
    of the functionality of medical school. It emphasises on general design of the main building, keeping
    in mind the various kinds of teaching, learning and assessment activities. We examined lecture hall,
    pre-clinical laboratory, skill laboratory, general facilities of Objective Structured Practical Examination
    (OSPE) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Results: We present hypothetical
    structural designs based on built-functions concepts. For example, for the better vision of students
    around a demonstration table, an inclined floor surface is proposed. The concept is as illustrated by
    anatomy dissection area built inclined upward from the cadaver table. It inevitably provides a better
    visual access to the students around the table. Other teaching and learning areas are also illustrated
    wherever appropriate in the text. Conclusion: The paper is hypothetical and explores innovative
    structural designs of modern medical schools. While most are built to meet the demands of current
    technology, it cannot however completely replace face-to-face teaching and learning processes.
    Research in architectural designs of education buildings and facilities may be further developed into a
    new research niche of medical education.

    Four hundred and forty three teachers from eight ran-domly selected primary schools were enrolled in this study which was aimed at determining the knowledge regarding child abuse and neglect among primary school teachers in Kuala Lumpur. The areas that were examined included characteristics of child abusers and abused children. The results showed that the marital status of the teachers did not influence their level of knowledge and there was no significant difference between novice and senior teachers. The most impor-tant finding here was that knowledge regarding sexual and physical abuse was lacking in the teachers surveyed.

    The objective of this study was t0 determine the relationship between scores on McCarthy Scales of Children's Abilities (MSCA) and academic peU’ormance of school children. A total ofI12first and second graders aged 6 to 8 I/2 years old hom two primary schools in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were selected as subjects for this study. This selection was based on a random sampling stratyied proportionalhr according to school and sex. The MSCA was administered to 59 male and 53 female students. The test battery was translated from English to Malay and adapted to suit the local situation. Academic performance was measured using the mean percent of the total score on all the subjects (English, Malay, Mathematics and Islamic Religion) in the jinal examinations at the end of the year. T—test results indicated no signdicant dfference between MSCA scores and academic scores of maleandkmale students. The results revealed that all the scores on the MSCA and the General Cognitive Index were signyicantbr correlated with academic pejormance, The General Cognitive Index accounted for [0.4% ofthe variation in academic performance. T he findings appear to support that intelligence scores may be used to predict children 's academic performance in the early years of primary education.

    Background: Tertiary education environment has always been regarded as highly stressful to students. Medical training further adds to the already stressful environment. The stress of medical training was associated with negative consequences to the mental and physical health of medical students. We describe in this article a stress-management program known as the 'Medical Student Well-Being Workshop' in our medical school.

    Methodology: The workshop was run over two half-days over a weekend. Prior to the workshop the society announced the workshop to the students and participation was voluntary. It was open to students from all years of the medical course except for first year students. A separate stress management workshop is planned for them.

    Results: A total of 55 students participated in the workshop, out of which 55 (82%) were female students. The years of study were almost equally represented; 14 students (26%) from years two and three, 20 (37%) from year four and 6 (11%) from year five. All sessions were rated as highly useful; the lowest rated, the introduction session, obtained an overall usefulness rating of 3.73 out of the possible 5 (74.6%).

    Conclusion: Medical Students Well-being Workshop is a promising intervention program in improving medical students' ability in managing stress. Perhaps similar approach can be considered relevant to be incorporated in other medical schools.

    The medical education should be tailored to deal with the diseases the physician is most likely to see.' With expectations that all the graduates from Malaysian Medical Schools should be able to serve anywhere in the country, the need for a national curriculum is self-evident. It may be argued that the public must have confidence in the competence of the practitioners they depend upon irrespective of the school from which they had graduated. In smaller countries in which health needs are uniform the graduates of any school should have been trained to meet those needs. In larger countries and those with geographic diversities and distances (e.g. Malaysia), the curriculum should cover the commonly encountered diverse ailments. If not dealt with care, we may end up with huge load of ever expanding, unmanageable curriculum.
